Although this isn’t an area where I have much knowledge, working on a car related project was very much enjoyable. Ovidiu, my client, wanted to have as a logo the bust of his beloved dog, Toby, and some element that suggests the auto industry.

As we already had the logo idea, next step was figuring out the color palette and general style. The moodboard resulted in a professional and dynamic look, mixing a royal blue with a sunny yellow. Even if it uses a mascot, this brand was not meant to be childish, only friendly.

Because the icon is fairly busy and has an irregular shape, the typography part is simpler, but still modern. And is was very easy to customize into various logo lock-ups, which looked great on a bunch of stickers that we designed.

Besides the stickers, we also took care of other collaterals like business cards, letterhead and social media covers. Those were the most needed items, but getting a peek at how future packagings might look like was an added bonus. For both bag and box, the color pallete looks awesome on them.

Even if it was a slight challenge, designing a mascot in a domain not so well known, the fact that it was pet-inspired, made it much easier and fun. Especially when the owner and client is pleased with the result. :)
